About Arnold Family Day Care
Fifth Avenue Family Child Care Center, located on the campus of The Ellis School, invites applications for a full time Director position to begin on August 15, 2012. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:overseeing all center operationsmanaging the annual budget and schedulemanaging and hiring all staffsupervising all safety/training exercises and inspection processesadministering payroll, preparing annual child evaluations, preparing and maintaining emergency and evacuation planscommunicating with parents in an effective and timely mannerdemonstrating a high degree of professionalismPROGRAM HOURS:7:15 am -4:00 pm during the stated 36 weeks period of time. There are occasional days when staying until 4:45 pm is required. Typically these are announced far in advance to allow for appropriate planning.SUPERVISION:The Director reports to the Director of Finance and Operations. The Director also works collaboratively with parents to help staff certain dates/times/events throughout the year.CALENDAR 2012 - 2012:Program dates: Wednesday August 15, 2012, through Friday, June 10, 2013 (Holiday weeks excluded)QUALIFICATIONS:A Bachelor’s Degree in accordance with state guidelines and significant experience working with infants and young children is required. Desirable candidates will have a demonstrated enthusiasm for working with young children, a strong sense of community and teamwork, the ability to form and lead a team forward in excellent child care practices, strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, and knowledge of classroom practices linked to the early childhood classroom experience.COMPENSATION:Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
